Woodlawn Academy History in the Making

WHO WE ARE Woodlawn Academy is the next SAISD school to adopt an academy model to serve pre-K through 8th grade.

Key Components As a Academy school Woodlawn will: Implement SAISD curriculum and offer more years for students and parents to grow with our school teachers and staff Offer a variety of extra curricular activities: Robotics, School patrols, Spirit team, Running Club, etc. Support a fine arts music program as an integrated component of student instruction: Choir and Band Serve three year old through eighth grade students Provide small, caring learning environment for critical middle school years- allowing more opportunities for siblings of diverse age groups to attend together

ENSURING SUCCESS COMMITMENT- PARENTS, STUDENTS AND TEACHERS WORKING TOWARD THE SAME GOAL 2014-2015- 1st year of IMPLMENTATION- 6TH GRADE, FOLLOWED BY 7TH AND 8TH GRADE THE FOLLOWING TWO YEARS. PLANNING, RESEARCH, AND TIME (CURRICULUM, SCHEDULES, AND BEST PRACTICES)
