Taking Care of the Laptop Never leave the laptop unattended Do not leave them in unsupervised areas – cafeteria, library, locker rooms, school grounds, hallways, etc Do not place food or liquids near the laptop Lock your laptop in your locker if you will not be with your laptop Do not expose your laptop to extreme temperatures

Laptop Screens Screens are very sensitive to excessive pressure or poking Do not place anything in the backpack that may press against the cover of the laptop Do not place anything on the keyboard before closing the lid Use two hands on the edges of the lid to close the laptop lid

Transporting the Laptop Close the laptop before moving it Carry and store the laptop in the carry case/backpack provided (zip it up) Shut down the laptop before placing it in the backpack Do not place an excessive amount of additional objects in the backpack that may place pressure or weight on the screen

Student Responsibilities Students are responsible for charging the battery each every evening Laptops should be taken home each evening Report any problems with the laptop to the supervising teacher Report lost or stolen laptops immediately Students are responsible for their laptops at all times
