How does god view this church? 2 Corinthians 10:18 Romans 14:11,12 Revelation 1:11-13, 20; 2:5

Do We see a church as god does? Depends upon our spirituality – 2 Timothy 1:13 How does God provide for a healthy church? – 2 Timothy 4:3 SOUND - ὑγιαίνω – be healthy or sound; literally, of physical and mental soundness; be healthy, be well (Luke 7:10); figuratively, or doctrinal teaching; be correct, be accurate, be sound (1 Timothy 1:10)

A healthy church characterized by a determination to please god Are we a church of Christ? Galatians 1:10; 1 Thessalonians 2:4 Where are our hearts? What do we expect from our work together? MEN GOD Sardis “it lives” “it is dead” Rev. 3:1 Laodicea “everything great” “miserable” Rev. 3:17 Smyrna “they are poor” “they are rich” Rev.2:8 Have You Considered What God Thinks of Us?

A healthy church characterized by a concern for the lost Notice what is NOT said: A great personal work program with many baptisms. A great building with showy assemblies. A watered down gospel that attracts big crowds.

A healthy church characterized by a concern for the lost Our efforts must be based on a deep concern for souls Each person must be doing something The appearance of activity is just playing at it One who is concerned will prepare to teach – 2 Timothy 2:24-26 Do we plan our work?

Consider the efforts of the early church Concerned people – everyone involved – Acts 8:3,4 Acts 11:19-23 “the hand of the Lord was with them ALL the church was concerned Where do you stand?

A healthy church characterized be a strong stand for the truth Standing for the truth involves preaching the truth, fighting error, calling people out of error, and paying a high price in the process Paul fought the Judaizing teachers – Galatians 2:4,5, 14 John fought the Gnostics – 1 John 4:1; 2 John 9 Done in God’s way – 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

There will be strong reactions Those who view us favorably – Acts 2:47; Acts 5:13,26 Stand for TRUTH appreciated by some! Never see all the good by the stand of a few Enemies hate & misrepresent us- 1 Peter 4:14 The Lord will be with us – Matthew 28:20

We Must let people know where we stand Call men out of denominationalism & liberalism! Call men our of the world! Many aware of what is going on here – God is aware – Hebrews 4:13 Please do not be ashamed of God’s truth – 2 Timothy 1:8,12

Are we a church that pleases god? What do we want to achieve? God will provide for us when we seek to do His will – Matthew 7:7
