Following are a few improvements that we have made in the village over the past year. Planters at the 5 main entrances to the parish. MVAS – speed activated signs with 4 locations installed. The Sun Dial which had previously been sited on The Green was refurbished and presented to the school.

Planning Committee Cllrs. Mayne, Scholtens, Lamberton, Margerrison, Gilbey 29 Planning Applications considered in the year. 3 Objected to of which 2 were subsequently approved by AVDC. Out of the 29, 3 were withdrawn, 3 were rejected by AVDC, 4 are pending and 19 were approved. The new policy introduced last year by AVDC has been confirmed as permanent and so we are required to be represented at the Development Control Committee in Aylesbury when we take an opposite view from the officers on a planning application.

Horwode Pece Recreation Ground Cllrs. Mayne and Porritt continued as the nominated Parish Council Trustees on the Great Horwood and Singleborough Recreation Trust. The Council continue to allocate around £3,500 each year to maintain, improve and insure it. Village Hall Cllrs Porritt and Lamberton are the Parish Council representatives on the Village Hall Committee.

BCC Local Area Forum Funding Last Year The Youth Club received funds allowing them to book a number of outside activities. The Balance beams and Pods on Horwode Pece were paid for by a grant of more than £2000

BCC Local Area Forum Funding This Year The Youth Club has been granted £2375 so that once again it is able to book a number of outside activities.

Neighbourhood Watch A big thank you to Ted Hadlow for his many, many years as the face of Neighbourhood Watch in the village. ANY VOLUNTEERS?
