Remember: What are the purposes of myths? The purpose of myths are “to make meaning of the world and to teach important lessons about life. What types of morals do myths often teach? Myths often teach about human flaws or weaknesses: greed, pride, recklessness, and Why do we tell myths? We tell myths to entertain, to teach, and explain mysteries.
