The end of Roman Rule in Britain The Romans left Britain in 410 AD, after invading in 55AD. This happened for many reasons. The Roman Empire had many, many problems by this time, and was coming to an end. The Roman Empire was all but finished in 476 AD. The Roman Empire had ruled over half of the World. It had seemed too powerful to fall.

Anglo Saxon Britain After the Romans left, new people moved to britain to start a new life. These came in ships from all over. The new settlers were a mixture of people from north Germany, Denmark and northern Holland.
