The storm hydrograph

(i) Draw sketch hydrographs on Figures 1a and 1b to show the contrasting effects of each of the two rainfall periods on river discharge. (3 marks) (ii) Suggest reasons for the differences in the shapes of the hydrographs that you have drawn in 1(b)(i). (3 marks)
