MAE IAB – Collaborative Projects Recommendation from 2005 MAE IAB meeting Identify opportunities for research collaboration between MAE and industrial partners Exchange research topics to determine common interests Goals Build upon the unique capabilities of MAE and industry Strengthen university and industry bonds Establish quantifiable benefits of the MAE/IAB partnership

MAE IAB – Collaborative Projects Implementation Circulate research interests or IR&D activities that industry is pursuing to faculty members For example, Aerospace distributed a list of IR&D activities – a short excerpt from the list follows

MAE IAB – Collaborative Projects Discussion Are research collaboration efforts worth pursuing in the future? If so, what is the best mechanism to share information? Are there other suggestions on ways to improve the engagement between MAE and industry?
