What is Refworks? One of many “citation management tools”. Others include EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero etc. Web-based, well supported @Penn, a good basic research tool. Records citations and full-text of articles for your research projects Formats citations for you in multiple styles (APA, MLA, and many more) Creates and formats bibliographies and reference pages for your papers Available to alumni

How do I use RefWorks? Create an account: http://guides.library.upenn.edu/citationmgmt/transition Use your U. Penn email address to simplify the registration process Useful to create some folders ahead of time As you perform your lit searches, export citations to RefWorks before final review and selection Export all pertinent findings from different databases, and use RefWorks to deal with duplicates Different databases and publishers have different export features.
PubMed Export In PubMed: check-off articles and “send to: citation manager”
PubMed Export File is downloaded to your computer- has to be imported manually in RefWorks (basically a drag-and-drop feature)
