Presentation transcript:

Best Practice Oates Industries was not satisfied with fall protection for “R” panel roofs Created a new system which met OSHA requirements Oates employees and managers worked together to develop and load test these devices to protect employees while granting them mobility After 4 years of implementation, the system has prevented 2 severe, if not fatal, injuries 2005 Employee was 35’ off of the ground and fell head first off roof The system stopped him from falling and prevented him from getting an injury 2008 Employee was 20’ above the ground and stepped through a skylight The system also stopped his fall and he was left uninjured. Had it not been for the implementation of this fall protection system, both of these employees would have been injured severely and more than likely at least one would have been fatal.
