Incorporating Maths, Literacy, PSHE, Science, Food Technology Lemonade Stand Game 7 Week Medium Term plan Incorporating Maths, Literacy, PSHE, Science, Food Technology

Week 1 – The Game Introduce the children to the game Allow them to play the game In pairs Introduce children to the idea that they will be setting up their own stall at school fete Children should write notes about what they are doing on the game and what they would like to do that the game does not allow (i.e. advertise) http://www.coolmath-games.com/lemonade/

Week 2 – Taste test Children to make and taste different recipes for lemonade. Using taste tests to decide on order of the recipes

Week 3 – Market research Children to look at different supermarket websites to find the most cost effective source for items Using taste test results children should select the most cost effective products Children should use all the information above to set quantities and a price for their product

Week 4 - Advertising Children to research good and bad advertising and slogans Children to produce posters, slogans etc using appropriate language features

Week 5 - Review Children to count their takings Work out if they have made a profit What would they do differently What would they do next for their business How would they expand their business How did it differ from the game in the first week
