Early disclosure to the Working Group of patent information that might be relevant to the standard is essential to reduce the possibility for delays in the development process and increase the likelihood that the draft publication will be approved for publication. Please notify the Chair Carl R. Stevenson as early as possible, in written or electronic form, if patented technology (or technology under patent application) might be incorporated into a draft standard being developed within the IEEE 802.22 Working Group. Month Year March 2007 Abstract Report to 802.22 WG on TG1 Progress at the March Plenary, 2007. The 802.22.1 Task Group 1 met for 5 sessions during the March 802 Plenary meetings in Orlando, Florida. Bill Rose, WJR Consulting Inc. Cheng Shan, Samsung Electronics

Summary The following motions passed during the plenary. March 2007 Summary The following motions passed during the plenary.   Motion to use the Rayleigh model on each path.   Motion to accept the public-key security proposal, as described in doc 22-07-0137-00, which was presented on the February 20, 2007 at the TG1 teleconference, as the basis for developing text to be included in the draft (22-06-0238).   Motion to accept the principle of adding FEC according to the proposal for the beacon syncburst in 22-07-0099-02-0001.   Motion to accept the principle of adding FEC according to the proposal for the beacon PSDU in 22-07-0099-02-0001. Bill Rose, WJR Consulting Inc.

March 2007 Future Steps It was decided that TG1 will hold conference call meetings every Tuesday at 6:00 PM EDT for 1 hour until the next 802 Interim meeting in May. The first meeting will be held March 27th.   Open Items: Insertion of security per motion Insertion of FEC per motion Reach consensus on link margin calculations Reach consensus on final beacon message format Verify timing of beacon length versus available quiet period Final decision regarding RTS/ANP issue Walk through of draft document 3 open proposals from Yuchun Wu Bill Rose, WJR Consulting Inc.
