How we learn and what happens in our brain

A neuron is a cell in the brain that sends electrical messages and grows connections to develop our brain.

When I practise and try something new the connections start growing in large numbers and my brain gets stronger. The more I try the more connections I make the easier it gets!

My brain wants to learn and develop My brain wants to learn and develop. When I work hard, try challenging work and don’t give up my brain starts firing up! The harder I work the stronger my brain gets.

When you are born you don’t know anything so only a few connections When you are born you don’t know anything so only a few connections. A baby has to learn everything from scratch

A baby does not get up and walk, it takes months and months of falling down to get it right. Every time they fall down another connection is made.

If you want to get smart you need to get ready If you want to get smart you need to get ready! Always have a go If you make a mistake DON’T GIVE UP, try again. Think …… I can’t do it YET! Remember you want those synapses firing!

The brain is a muscle and wants to learn We made brains from Jelly and modrock and made our connections showing we are learning.
