Unit 1 Week 1

Ached (verb) Hurt or felt sore My knee ached from running. What have you ached after exercising?

Concentrate (verb) When you think carefully about what you are doing. I cant concentrate on my book. Name a time when you need to concentrate.

Educated (Adj) To be educated is to have knowledge. I go to school to become educated. How do you become educated in something?

Effort (Noun) Effort is hard work. After much effort, he learned to read. When is a time you put in a lot of effort to do something?

Satisfied ( Adj) To feel pleased or happy He was satisfied with his drawing. When might a sports team feel satisfied?

Improved (V / Adj) When something is better than it was before. This cleaning product is new and improved. What might you do to improve at something ?

Discovery ( Noun) When something is found for the first time. The scientist made a surprising discovery. What is a discovery you have learned about ?

Inspire (Verb) When you inspire someone, you cause them to take action. The teacher inspired the class to help. How might a speech inspire you?
