Title I Part C Migrant Education Program Reporting SY2014 NMPED STARS Spring Data Conference May 6-8, 2014

Who are Migrant Students? They have been identified through an eligibility process by the district migrant coordinator (often are the Federal Programs Director). They have been identified by the federal Migrant Data Exchange system – MSIX and have had their eligibility verified. Immigrant students are often confused with Migrant. In order to be identified as Migrant the Immigrant students must be identified through the eligibility process.

Programs Fact Template A STARS Template that identifies student participation in various programs. T1C - Program Code used to identify Title I, Part C Migrant Education Program Students. (Field 5 Program Fact Template )

Migrant Student Template

Valid Value = PFS Priority for Service Student Template “At Risk” Field Valid Value = PFS Priority for Service To be used for Migrant Students that are determined to have Priority for Service

Do all Migrant Students need a unique ID or only the students that are served in grades Pre K - 12? All Migrant students require a unique ID and be entered in your student information system and have the TIC program code in field 5 of the program fact template.
