Graduation Requirements Class of 2022 The Future Ready Core… English (4 credits) English I, II, III & IV Social Studies (4 credits) World History Civics & Economics American History I American History II Health/PE (1 credit req.)

The Future Ready Core Continued…. Mathematics (4 credits) Math I Math II Math III At least one Advanced Math Course beyond Math III Bridge courses offered also include Introduction to High School Math and Foundations of Math, which can count toward needed math credits…

The Future-Ready Core Continued... Science (3 credits) Earth or Environmental Biology Physical Science (which also includes Chemistry and Physics) Foreign Language (opt.) Required minimum of 2 for application to UNC University System (16 Universities).

The Future Ready Core Continued….. Additional Requirements (12 Credits) 2 Elective credits of any combination from either Career and Technical Education (CTE), Arts Education, or Foreign Languages 4 Elective credits strongly recommended (a four-course concentration) from one of the following: - Career & Technical Education (CTE) - Arts Education (dance, music, theater arts, or visual arts) - Any other subject area (mathematics, science, social studies, or English)

Graduation and Promotion ABSS Requirements for Graduation and Promotion 28 credits to graduate (more than the state requires) 6 credits to be promoted from grade 9 to 10 12 credits to be promoted from grade 10 to 11 20 credits to be promoted from grade 11 to 12 Capstone Project (optional)

School Nurse: Mrs. Karen Graham Medications at School If your child needs medication at school, you must follow the Alamance Burlington School System Medication Policy. Medications that cannot be given at school, according to this policy, are medicines that can be given at home before or after school by the parent. Medications include things such as asthma inhalers, epi-pens, tylenol, etc. Medications also include things like Neosporin, calamine lotion, and medicated cough drops, sunscreen, etc.

What do I need to do? Have your doctor fill out a medication authorization form for the student. You can get this form from the office or the school nurse. Parent must also sign the form and bring it in to the office. Medication must be provided in original container by the parent to school. Students may NOT bring in or take home their own medication.

Contact the School Nurse if: You received a referral and have any questions. Your child has a chronic illness that needs to be monitored at school. Your child will need to take medication at school. Any question you have regarding the health of your child while at SAHS.

Athletic Eligibility Must pass at least 3 out of 4 classes the semester prior to the sport season. Must attend school at least 80% of the semester prior to the sport season. Must have a current physical exam. Must maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher or student will be placed on an academic contract for 9 weeks. GO PATRIOTS!!

Driver’s Eligibility... Must pass at least 3 out of 4 classes the semester prior to an application for your permit or license. Must maintain good grades (report sent to DMV each semester). Must attend school on a regular basis (i.e. cannot drop out).

What to Expect on the First Day Breakfast is served 7:40am-8:00am (Cafeteria) Cost: $1.50 regular (Reduced $.30) Lunch is served during 4 lunch periods (3rd block) Cost: $2.60 regular (Reduced $.40) Students can only charge up to 5 lunches! You must be in SA Prep(Homeroom) by 8:10am!! Dismissal will be at 3:15pm.
