Incoming ISSCR President Shinya Yamanaka escorted the Emperor and Empress of Japan to a ceremony commemorating the Tenth Anniversary of the society. The mayor of Yokohama, the governor of the Kanagawa Prefecture, and the senior vice president of Education, Culture, Sports, and Medicine were also in attendance.
