RIGHTEOUSNESS

HOLINESS To be holy is to be set apart. God is holy and is set apart.

HOLINESS Luke 1:74-75 “We’ve been rescued from the hand of our enemies that we might serve Him without fear in holiness and righteousness before Him all our days.” Romans 6:19 “Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and lawlessness. So now present your members as slaves to righteousness which leads to holiness.” Ephesians 4:24 “Put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.”

HOLINESS Righteousness and holiness are similar, but there is one distinct difference. RIGHTEOUSNESS is about how Christians are to be distinctively different FROM the world. HOLINESS is about how Christians are to be distinctively different IN the world. Holiness is being righteous where people can see your Christ-like life and conduct.

In the meantime… HOLINESS This world is not my home I’m just a’passing through My treasures are laid up Somewhere beyond the blue In the meantime…

Holiness is being distinctive IN the world! John 17:11-18 IN THE WORLD “I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.” Holiness is being distinctive IN the world!
