Foundation Graduation Plan Students will need 26 credits to graduate and earn an endorsement. Endorsements: Business & Industry STEM Arts & Humanities Public Service Multidisciplinary In January, student will update their 4-year plans in CareerCruising.com.

Courses & GPA AP Courses- College readiness course, prepares for the AP exam, and awards on 5.0 scale Pre-AP Courses- More rigorous than a normal course, prepares students for AP courses, and awards on 4.5 scale. Dual Credit Courses- College courses offered at WHS, online, and at Weatherford College over the summer. Awards on a 4.5 scale PASS Courses- Used for credit recovery and is meant for highly motivated juniors. No GPA points. RISE Courses- Flexible alternative form of education for at-risk students. No GPA points. *GPA and Rank are recalculated at the end of each semester *For Skyward Family Access, please fill out the form. *For electronic copies of progress reports and report cards, see your counselor.

Mega Lunch & Learning Center Mega Lunch- A & B Block Tutorials Learning Center- WHS Library Tuesday 4-6 p.m. Thursday 6-8 p.m.

EOC Testing Algebra 1 Biology English 1 English 2 U.S. History Retesting- summer, December, spring Interventions are offered in class and during mega-lunch.

Exemption Policy Attendance Other Rules No more than 3 absences per class. 3 tardies= 1 absence Other Rules No ISS, OSS, or BRIDGE No fines or fees Must be here on exam days

College Planning Start researching colleges and entry requirements Juniors will be allowed to take 2 college days per year, with proper documentation. Thursday, March 30th 2017 is a great day to visit a college. Make an appointment! College Fair at WHS- November 1st 1-3 p.m. Talent Search- join before senior year. For 1st generation college students. Community Service- Superintendent’s Volunteer Service Award 50+ hours of community service Awarded cords to wear at graduation

College Planning PSAT- Given October 19th for all sophomores. Juniors can sign up tomorrow ONLY. $15. The link is on our weekly newsletter. SAT/ACT- Sign up to take in the spring of your junior year. Texas Success Initiative (TSI)- test required for dual credit courses, required by some colleges. Weatherford College offers it by appointment, $25. WHS will offering in the spring.

Paying for College FAFSA- required for those seeking financial aid- grants, loans, and scholarships. TASFA- available to non-citizens or students that don not qualify for the FAFSA. Scholarships: E-scholarships USA Login: weatherford Password: weatherford Project Opportunity- Apply before December 1st of junior year $5,000 scholarship to Weatherford College

Free/Reduced Lunch Apply online or on paper Assists with: ACT, ACT, TSI, AP, PSAT, college application fees, dual credit tuition, parking pass fees, breakfast and lunch prices.
