What is analyzation (analyze)? To examine critically, so as to bring out the essential elements or give the essence of (dictionary). Synonym: break-down What is analyzation (analyze)?

How do you analyze something? To analyze is to read into something and think critically about it. When you analyze you are searching for a meaning the author wanted the reader to understand. For example: https://www.roanestate.edu/owl/writinglitanalysis1.html

Getting started: Choose two characters to follow (answer these questions): Questions to ask yourself: Why does this character contradict my idea? Why does this character support my idea? What makes this character significant? Why did I choose this character? How does this character affect me? How does this character affect the outcome of the story? Do they make the story have suspense? Horror? How? What is the theme/main point of this story? What did the author want me to take away from this? What characters help support what I think the main idea/theme is of this story? What characters contradict what I think the main idea is?
