The heavens tell the glory of God, and the skies announce what his hands have made. Psalm 19:1
Day after day they tell the story,
night after night they tell it again. Psalm 19:2
They have no speech or words; they have no voice to be heard. But their message goes out through all the world; their words go everywhere on earth. Psalm 19:3,4
I look at your heavens, which you made with your fingers...
I see the moon and stars, which you created...
But why are people important to you? Psalm 8:3,4
You put them in charge of everything you made You put them in charge of everything you made. You put all things under their control: all the sheep, the cattle, and the wild animals, the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that lives underwater. Psalm 8:6–8
What have we done with the gift you have given?
When have we taken too much?
When have we been careless with tomorrow?
When have we acted like your creation was disposable if it didn’t directly benefit us?
When have we acted as if it doesn’t matter if it only affects people or places we can’t see?
The earth belongs to the Lord, and everything in it— the world and all its people. Psalm 24:1
The Lord's love never ends; his mercies never stop The Lord's love never ends; his mercies never stop. They are new every morning. Lamentations 3:22,23a
The Lord is good and right; he points sinners to the right way The Lord is good and right; he points sinners to the right way. He shows those who are humble how to do right, and he teaches them his ways. Psalm 25:8,9
Lord, teach us the right way to walk. How do we honour what you have created? How do we remember you when we see our world? How do we enjoy what you have given us charge over, but still respect it?
