Properties of Light

What is Light? A type of radiation that we can see and allows us to see other things around us! It is a form of energy

Where does light come from? Our original and primary source of light is of course the Sun!

What do we know about light? What do you think of when you think of light? What are some characteristics of light?

Properties of Light The sun is the main source of natural light

Properties of Light 2) Light can be absorbed and reflected

Properties of Light 3) Light travels in a straight line from its source

Properties of Light 4) The speed of light is dependent on the material it is travelling through; light can be bent!

Properties of Light 5) White light is made up of all the colours of light

Properties of Light 6) Light energy can be transformed into other types of energy
