Expresses likes and dislikes Lec2.1 The verb: GUSTAR Expresses likes and dislikes To express things you like: me gusta + [singular noun] Me gusta el arte. I like the art. or me gustan + [plural noun] Me gustan las clases. I like the classes. * NOTE: Don’t use ‘YO’ with this structure.

To express what you like to do: me gusta + [infinitive(s) verb] Me gusta dibujar. I like to draw. (To me, it is pleasing, to draw.) Le gusta bailar y cantar.* She likes to dance and sing. (To her, it is pleasing, to dance and to sing.) * NOTE: Gustar is not plural w/more than one activity.
