NON-RETURNING STUDENT FORM All students who are NOT returning in the fall of 2018 must complete the online questionnaire sent to your parent’s email. This information is used for statistical purposes by the school. http://bit.ly/2C4Pr5P

STUDENTS WISHING TO RETURN TO WILSON IN THE FALL OF 2018 Students wishing to return must complete and submit a White Request to Return to Donald A. Wilson Educational Goals and Career Planning Package by February 20, 2018. These packages are available in the Guidance Office. Once you have completed the entire package and met with a Vice Principal (around May) for approval, Ms. Webb will book an appointment in June to discuss your plans and course selection options.

Apply online: http://www.ouac.on.ca/ouac-101/ Recent transmission to OUAC is February 8 for final marks from semester one. Third transmission: April 24, 2018 (mid-term grades) Fourth transmission: July 4, 2018 (final S2 grades) Final transmission: August 15, 2018 (Summer School)

APPRENTICESHIP INFORMATION A student who wishes to pursue an apprenticeship must first find an employer who is willing to sponsor him/her as an apprentice. Training agreements are prepared by training consultants at the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. Students interested in starting an apprenticeship are encouraged to visit www.tradeability.ca

SO…WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP?

GRADUATION 2018

GRADUATION 2018 The formal presentation of your Ontario Secondary School Diploma or Certificate Mandatory graduation Cap and Gowns must be ordered before April 30 2018 through cash on-line to participate in the Commencement ceremony. Commencement will take place the first week of November 2018. 200+ potential graduates at Donald A. Wilson for the Class of 2018.

WHO RECEIVES AN INVITATION TO GRADUATION? Potential Graduates: On track to complete 30 credits required for your diploma by June Literacy requirement fulfilled or enrolled in the OLC course Completed the required 40 Community Service Hours (on status sheet!)

WHAT HAPPENS AT COMMENCEMENT? Formal ceremony with a processional Graduation Awards are presented to students Valedictory address Diplomas and Certificates

Students who want to be considered for awards at Commencement must complete the DAWSS STUDENTS PROFILE FOR SCHOLARSHIP NOMINATIONS available in the Guidance Office.

FINAL REMARKS Remember to complete the On-line Destination Form or hand in the Request to Return to Wilson Application to your homeroom teacher by Feb 20, 2018. Thank you and good luck in Semester 2!
