Presentation transcript:

I am a Palestinian. Please help me By learning about Me and my people.

Our ancestors had been living in our homeland for thousands of years. But starting in 1945 our homes were taken from us By attacks on us. We did not sell our land.

Most of our land was stolen from us. And we have been put behind huge Walls that surround us. Some call it a “Giant Prison”.

Our Palestinian children Try to hide to be safe.

And other children try to fight back, to get our homes back, to get our freedom back.

We try to stop the Israelis from bulldozing our homes and our beloved olive trees. We try to stop them from stealing More of our homeland.

But Israel is much stronger Than we are.

Our people are beaten for protesting That our land is being taken away And our homes are being destroyed.

Palestinians throw stones because we have Nothing else to show how miserable we are. Our lives have been destroyed.

And we run away when they shoot at us.

Some of us have made home-made Qassam bombs. They shoot at Israel to try to fight back.

But Israel is much Stronger than we are.

Israel attacks us again and again, Year after year…

Our buildings are destroyed From the huge Israeli bombs.

Many of us are hurt and wounded.

And some of us are killed…

Palestinian boy run over by an Israeli bulldozer When protesting his home being demolished.

2 years ago, Israel also bombed our Neighbor in the north, Lebanon. Nobody stopped it. Lebanese city Before and after Israeli bombing.

Israel claims that it Is defending itself. Israel says that it only Targets people who Are attacking them.

But Israel uses CLUSTER BOMBS, Which kill everyone around them. Cluster bombs are banned by International law because of it.

Why is Israel so strong? Many say it is because of the strong Jewish lobby in the USA. “On average, USA gave more than US$6.8 million to Israel every day during 2007.” - John J. Mearsheimer and Stephen M. Walt George W Bush with Israel’s Prime Minister Olmert. George W Bush said that the USA is “proud to be Israel's closest ally and best friend.” George W Bush with Israeli leaders.

USA vs Native American “Indians” Israel vs native Palestinians

Who Says That Palestine Is Our Land? “Palestine belongs to the Arabs in the same sense that England belongs to the English or France to the French. It is wrong and inhuman to impose the Jews on the Arabs. What is going on in Palestine today cannot be justified by any moral code of conduct. Surely it would be a crime against humanity to reduce the proud Arabs so that Palestine can be restored to the Jews partly or wholly as their national home.” - Mahatma Gandhi – Peaceful Ex-Leader of India (1938) "Let us not ignore the truth ... politically we are the aggressors and they defend themselves... The country is theirs, whereas we want to come here and settle down, and in their view we want to take away from them their country. - David Ben Gurion (Israeli Prime Minister 1949) "There has been Anti-Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? No. They see one thing: we have come and we have stolen their [Palestinian] country. Why would they accept that?" - David Ben Gurion (Israeli Prime Minister 1949)

Some People Try to Help Us

Even some Jewish Rabbis protest Israel’s injustice.

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL SAYS: Human rights defenders working in the Occupied Territories of Palestine are at risk of attack by Israeli settlers. Amnesty International is concerned at the latest such attack against those who seek through their presence to afford protection to Palestinians and to bear witness to the abuses perpetrated against them by Israeli settlers in the area. Tove Johansson from Stockholm was with a small group of human rights workers to accompany Palestinian schoolchildren to their homes. The 19-year old Swedish human rights worker had her cheekbone broken by Israeli settlers.

American Rachel Corrie tried to stop Israel From bulldozing more Palestinian homes. The Israeli bulldozer drove over Rachel Corrie. Rachel Corrie was wounded by the bulldozer. Rachel Corrie died in hospital.

American Tom Hurndall was Escorting Palestinian Children In 2004 and he was shot in the Head.

Thank you, Rachel Corrie. And thank you, Tom Hurndall. For trying to help us. You are our heroes!

We are the Palestinians. We have lived like this for over 60 years. The more people know, The better the world will be.

We wish that we can all live Thanks for reading this. in peace and harmony. Thanks for reading this.
