Azure Enables Secure Data Access, Sharing for Australian Patients, Doctors, and Providers MINI-CASE STUDY “The launch of Microsoft Azure in Australia has enabled Ocean Informatics to offer health solutions in Australia as the health data complied with federal legislation and resided in Australian sovereignty.” – Hugh Leslie, CEO, Ocean Informatics SITUATION Western Sydney Primary Health Network and Ocean Informatics implemented the LinkedEHR Care Planning system with the aim of improving care for chronic conditions. The patients’ health records needed to be extracted and then deployed into an environment that the patients themselves, their care team, allied health, and hospital clinicians could all share, access, and update. MICROSOFT AZURE ISV: Ocean Informatics WEB SITE: www.oceaninformatics.com LOCATION: Sydney, Australia ORG SIZE: 30+ MICROSOFT AZURE ISV PROFILE: Ocean Informatics developed the Multiprac clinical solution suite that includes Infection Control, Staff Health, and Care Planning. These solutions are developed in Azure and are a standards-based electronic health record platform that includes a Clinical Data Repository and a Health Integration Engine.
