Sexting Consequences School: Suspension, Expelled Personal: embarrassment, awkwardness, nude photos are out there forever! Legal: Child pornography, Jail, Sex Offender Registry (if 18)

Legal Consequences If you send visual material showing another minor, even yourself, engaging in sexual conduct: Class C Misdemeanor Up to a $500 fine If sent with the intent to harass, annoy, alarm, abuse, torment, embarrass or offend another: Class B Misdemeanor Up to a $2,000 fine If you possess visual material showing another minor engaging in sexual conduct: Class C Misdemeanor – Up to a $500 fine Up to 180 Days in jail Definition of Sexual Conduct: Includes masturbation, display of the genitals, anus or any portion of the breast below the areola.

Sexting…don’t go there! Don’t send sexually explicit messages…find a better way to flirt. Avoid embarrassment and don’t take/send nude or semi-nude photos! Don’t forward photos, messages, or pornography…it’s not worth it! Say It to someone’s face…don’t put it in print. Delete it when you see it.
