Description of Formative Performance Task: You will use class discussion to analyze the PowerPoint and determine the role the church played during the fall of the Roman Empire. Steps: View the PowerPoint titled “Religion PowerPoint.” Going through the slides, start your discussions of the different types of churches. As a class, discuss the questions provided at the end of the presentation. Take the Plickers quiz Once all five questions are answered with a 90 percent pass rate, place the Plickers cards back. Description of Summative Performance Task: You will describe the details of the different positions in the Roman Catholic Church in the Middle Ages in Europe. Steps” Go to the following link - https://goo.gl/KwDx88 Divide into 6 groups. Each group will be given a position and a slide number: Pope, cardinal, archbishop, bishop, priest/abbot/abbess, and monk/nun. Each slide has the same questions. In your groups, discuss then type in your slide your position's answers to those questions on your slide. Groups may use the internet to research their positions. After everyone has completed their slides, as a class using the projected Google Slides so that everyone can see, put the slides in correct order, as described in the hierarchy.
