RPD Governance Planning RPD 1- and 5-year plans will be prepared and submitted to ANS (goal: 2018) RPD holds a Goals and Planning Meeting at each ANS National Meeting

RPD Governance RPD mainly supports the following ANS Strategic Goals: Mission Component 1 – Professional Development Goal 1-1: Support the ongoing education and development of the nuclear science and technology workforce on best-in-class scientific and engineering techniques that promote the safe, efficient and effective application of nuclear science and technology. Goal 1-2: Encourage ANS member professional achievement through recognition of outstanding contributions to the profession of nuclear science and technology.

RPD Governance Mission Component 2 – Sharing Information and Advancements in Technology Goal 2-1: ANS and its members will be a leading source of nuclear science and technology information within the international science and technology community. Goal 2-2: ANS will provide technical information in support of all applications of nuclear science and technology Goal 2-3: Produce and maintain ANS consensus standards and promote their adoption as standards of choice by the nuclear science and technology community.

RPD Governance/Goals RPD Goals: Commitment to Students and Young Members Group (YMG) (ANS Goal 1-1) Support 2017 Young Professionals Congress ($1000) Support student travel to ANS National meetings each year ($1000/year) Support ANS Student Conference each year ($2500/year) Rudi Stamm'ler Undergraduate Scholarship Henry/Greebler Graduate Scholarship Lineberry Graduate Scholarship

RPD Governance/Goals Strong ANS National Meeting Participation (ANS Goals 2-1 and 2-2) 21 sessions at the 2016 ANS National Meetings; 25 sessions at the 2017 ANS National Meetings Continuation of RPD Topical Meetings once every two years (ANS Goals 2-1 and 2-2) Participation from other professional societies Continue professional development with workshops at Topical Meetings (ANS Goal 1-1)
