Tumor Imaging Via Indium 111–Labeled DTPA– Adenosylcobalamin Douglas A. Collins, MD, Harry P.C. Hogenkamp, PhD, Mark W. Figure 1 Left pair of figures show anterior and posterior projections of the bone scan at 3 hours after injection of 21.3 mCi of Tc 99m–abeled methylene diphosphonate. Right pair of figures show posterior and anterior views at 3 hours after injection of 420 μCi of In 111-labeled DTPA. The arrowhead points to the pulmonary metastatic disease on the posterior projection. The large right breast tumor lies above the liver on the anterior images. Figure 2 Images 1 through 18 represent 3-dimensional rotational images of the thorax. Image 1 is the anterior view. Image 5 is the right anterior oblique projection; arrow indicates right axillary lymph node above the large right breast tumor. Image 9 delineates the right axillary lymph node superiorly (upper arrow) and pulmonary metastatic disease inferiorly, posterior (lower 2 arrows) to the large right breast cancer. Bottom, Fused computed tomographic and single-photon emission computed tomographic images demonstrate the intense uptake within the right breast tumor. Yellow color within the right lung corresponds to diethylenetriaminepentaacetate adenosylcobalamin activity in the pulmonary metastatic disease.
