Preparing for a career in IT First part of unit helps you understand personal characteristics valued by employers As the weeks progress, you will; prepare an application for one job in the IT sector and creative computing industries(e.g. computer games developer or IT technician) demonstrate your technical and employability skills use your digital portfolio to showcase your achievements. (This will also help you decide which skills you should develop further and which career to pursue. )
Expectations – quality of work High quality of work during tasks and assisgnments (check spellings and grammar). Assignment brief is followed; if you are unsure of anything – ask. Submit all work on time.

Personal Characteristics that Employers Value Task 1 Open up a word document List as many characteristics that you can think of Put them in a table under the headings ‘Positive’ and ‘Negative’ Have a third column that lists the reason for your choice
