Five Types of Prayer

Note Petition – Jesus invites us to ask God for what we desire. We must be persistent though and not give up. Intercession – Asking God for something for others. We can ask on their behalf. Thanksgiving – “All things work together unto good for those who love God” We can give thanks to God for all the good things and the things that seem not to be good. God does not cause the bad things to happen, but he can bring good out of them.

Note Adoration and Blessing – Sitting quietly in God’s presence, blessing God’s many gifts. Praise – By praising God, we remind ourselves that God is God, and we are not. “Hallowed be thy name” (Our Father).

Activity Write a prayer to God. They will be collected and shared as a presentation.

The Our Father – Explained Listen to “The Our Father Explained”.
