Post WWI – The Versailles treaty

GERMAN - POST WWI 1918

Germany 1918 – 1928 Post WWI Germans feel defeated – they’ve lost the war, they have lost land and they are in an economic crisis. During the 1920’s, the Germans slowly rebuild their government, their economy and their patriotic pride. The Nazi party also begins to form and thrive – Hitler becomes a member in the 20’s.

Stock market crash of 1929

The Depression After 10 years of getting out of their own economic depression, they are thrust back into an even worse economic depression due to the crash of the stock market Germany is hit hard from the stock market crash – and finds itself back where it was after WWI. This is serious setback for the country. The Germans are desperate for relief and need a leader and government that will save them and get them out of this crisis
