New Year’s Resolutions Setting goals for positive change

Welcome to 2017! Many people decide to make changes in their lifestyle at the beginning of the new year. Unfortunately, most will quit or give up with in a few weeks. Here are some tips to help you achieve your goals.

Decide what you want to change. Think about some areas you want to change in your life and write them down. Suggestions may be to improve your life in areas such as: Physical/Body Mental/Mind Emotional/Heart Spiritual/Soul

Why change? Boosts Confidence (Self-esteem) Greater sense of accomplishment Increased knowledge (Knowledge is power) Increased ability to adapt, learn, and overcome problems Increase ability to set priorities Better decision making skills Improve the quality of your life Maximize your potential Achieve your dreams

Roadblocks Not knowing what to change Not knowing how to change Stuck mindset Not knowing what to change Not knowing how to change No motivation to change Lack of accountability

What if I don’t make changes? Get left behind Make little or no progress Unprepared for life’s challenges Unhappy with where you go in life

Map out your course Develop a vision for your future Make a written plan for success Be willing to work on your goals Make connections with people who will help you change for the better Don’t give up!

“It’s never to late to be who you might become.” – George Eliot “Today is life- the only life you are sure of. Make the most of today. Get interested in something. Shake yourself awake. Develop a hobby. Let the winds of enthusiasm sweep through you. Live life with gusto.” - George Lorimer “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” - Les Brown
