Project Day!!! You do not need your journals this morning. Wednesday, November 5th, 2014 Project Day!!! You do not need your journals this morning.

Agenda Standards: Conduct short research projects; Gather information from multiple sources; Draw evidence from literary or informal text Activator: Ashton! Target: Scholars will begin brainstorming for their essay by taking on roles and defending themselves in a class debate. Work: Project Closing: TOTD

Activator Ashton Video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoI1dk9J_SY How did Ashton (or Chris) define success? Do we agree or disagree with him? Why? My favorite, “Sexiest thing in the entire world is being really smart and being thoughtful and being generous”

Work Today you're going to use the computers to start your Big Project for this unit!! You may work alone or with a partner. YOU WILL BE PRESENTING THIS PROJECT TO THE CLASS. I REPEAT, THIS IS A PRESENTATION PROJECT. YOU HAVE TO PRESENT. IT IS A PART OF YOUR GRADE. IF YOU ARE UNCOMFORTABLE PRESENTING, I SUGGEST YOU CHOOSE A PARTNER THAT WILL HELP YOU BE MORE COMFORTABLE, BECAUSE PRESENTING IS NOT AN OPTION. You must get your partner approved by Ms. T or I  Not right now…in the lab later. And, in happier news, we have the computers all week! Each partnership (or individual) will draw the name of a person they are going to research from a hat. Then, you're going to answer some questions :) Again, not right now…in the lab later.

Ms. B what will this project look like?! Well, here are your guidelines!! Let’s go over them then you will see what this will look like on Monday Please hold your questions till the end When everyone has eyes on me I will do a “Moc” Presentation. This is what your presentation should look like on Monday so please pay attention 

So…. With that being said we are going to take this one step at a time! Today, just focus on the first 5 questions. If you finish these get Ms. T or I to check over it and you may move on! You will get your person in the computer lab We are going to the computer lab now so lets remember hallway rules Please no loud talking (other classes are still going on) Don’t leave the class and start to wonder the halls Just be respectful! You are in 10th grade… Thanks! Everyone grab your stuff and lets move.
