Tsar leaving capital creates vacuum. Failure of Brusilov and attrition. Cost of war met with borrowing and Printing money. Workers employed with Higher wages! Countered by inflation. Cities and towns disproportionately Affected. Nicholas II forced out by “Progressive Bloc”. “The war was a turning point – which actually turned twice” – Stephen Lee
