Why did we do this? Bottom line – to save time and resources Did not want to use the access process Submitted XML files for the 2000 and 2001 information Volunteered to test the NEI v3.0 schema and submit the 2002 information

How did we do this? Generating a sample XML file and mapping our data to the sample Taking small steps and achieving little increments of success, repetition Support from the CDX and NEI teams.

What did it take? Persistence and Patience Testing the schema and header while trying to generate the XML document Changing some of our values to NEI values/codes or creating a crosswalk Repeated validation attempts until the instance document was correct

What did we learn? Each of the 8 groups must have the same key field entry All codes must match the NEI v3 code tables Must remove trailing blanks/spaces Must use 000 for control equipment if none exists Primary efficiency must have a value of 0.00 if no other value
