Excursion to Melbourne Zoo

I am going on an excursion to Melbourne Zoo. The zoo can be a fun place, with a lot of amazing things to discover. ‘Student’ Image

Melbourne Zoo is home to many different animals. Penguin Crocodile Orangutan Frog Meerkat Pelican Tortoise Gorilla Stick Insect Melbourne Zoo is home to many different animals. I might see some animals. They can’t reach me.

I might have to wait outside the wall before I go in. I can stand in line before entering the zoo. That’s okay because I might talk to my friends, look at the passing trains and trams, and people around me.

My teacher might go through a different gate, but I can stay with my class and adult helpers until I am told to enter.

If I bring a bag I can leave it at a pavilion, so that I don’t have to carry it all day. It will be safe there.  Pavilion image

I might eat with my class. My teacher might tell me when it is time to eat and when is a good time to get my food. I might eat with my class. If it is raining my class might sit undercover. Eating Lunch

Many people visit the zoo and many people work there too. If I get lost, I can ask people wearing uniforms that say ‘Zoos Victoria’ for help. They might be wearing light- brown, dark-blue or dark- green. They might use a radio to talk to other people to help me. Staff Image
