Registration for 2018-2019 Classes Objective: Students will indicate primary and alternate course preferences in order to create a schedule that meets graduation requirements, completer requirements and is appropriate to individual post-secondary plans.

Registration Worksheet Several courses have already been recommended for you. (English, SS, Science, Math, PE) Registration worksheet is used to record primary choices and alternate choices. ALL students MUST have a total of 8 credits and the appropriate number of alternate courses.

Registration Worksheet If you do not list alternates, you risk having your schedule completed last and the scheduler may put you in any class that fills your schedule. Choose wisely and carefully; if you list a course as a primary or alternate choice and you are scheduled for the course, you WILL NOT be able to get out of the course. Write in PENCIL.

Update… starting with the Class of 2018 and after… According to Senate Bill 740: All students will be enrolled in a math course in high school each year of high school… YES- you WILL be taking math your senior year!

Recommendations Current freshman should try to earn initial fine arts, and PE requirements in the first two years of high school. This allows students to take more advanced courses in these subject areas later in high school. College Completers- you must take at least 2 years of the same foreign language in high school and you will take 4 years of math in high school.

ECAP Partnership BCPS and CCBC Students have the opportunity to earn dual high school and college credits as a high school student SPECIES Program offers Dual credit course AP Environmental Science at SPHS and Environmental Science 101 and an additional College Science credit. Junior or Senior year

Special Permission If SPHS is not your home zone high school, you must have a special permission form on file and must maintain passing grades in your magnet classes, or you will be asked to leave SPHS. Be sure to sign the special permission form and turn it in tonight
