Local Apples

Most of the apples kids in the United States eat are grown in Washington! 42% of the apples grown in the United States are grown in Washington State. 60% of US apples eaten fresh are grown here in Washington. In 1989, Washington made the apple its official state fruit.

Why choose locally grown apples? Local food doesn’t have to travel as far to get to you, so less energy is used on gas. Local food is fresher, and has longer to ripen on the tree. Eating local food helps support local farmers & grocery stores– it is good for your community.

Enjoy local apples for Harvest of the Month Check out Mt. Baker! Be sure to thank your server!
