Lathe Flow Diagram Isolate power Isolate power Isolate power Make sure lathe is clean and ready for use Find and mark the centre of material Place material back into chuck Choose correct tool and fix in place securely Take material out of chuck Set drill as close to chuck and material as possible. Get material and fix securely into chuck using chuck key Isolate power make sure the brake is on. Un isolate power Centre the tool with the material held in chuck Move tool away from material before stopping. Continue until at desired thickness Drill whole in material slowly, do not force it quickly and use in and out motion Un isolate power Start machine turning material, 1mm at a time. Face off material manually Isolate power Set speed and touch surface of material with tool Set tool to 0mm then adjust to 1mm Remove material, and clean lathe completely
