Warm-Up - Question Gallery Take out your “Little Things” packet for reference. Pick one of the questions posted on the walls. Do you agree or disagree with the answer on the poster? If you agree, explain why their answer makes sense to you and find DIFFERENT supporting data. If not, explain your answer with data.

Biblical Allusion The original Solomon story emphasizes that a good parent values the life of the child over their own interests. Table Talk: What are the similarities between the Biblical story and “Little Things?” In what way is this message NEGATED by “Little Things”?

Biblical Allusion Writing Response Claim: Though the conflict in “Little Things” and the Solomon story is the same, the message is different due to the lack of wisdom in “Little Things.” Data: (Paraphrase event from “Little Things” that supports) (Precise quote that supports) Warrant: (Based on your data, what is the message of “Little Things”?)

Critics’ Responses Writing Response Choose ONE of the the critical responses. Underline key phrases and concepts in the critical response. Choose ONE key phrase or concept that you feel STRONGLY apply to your understanding of “Little Things”. Write a CDW paragraphs explaining how these phrases or concepts support your understanding.
