What am I going to get out of this? Why am I here today? What am I going to get out of this?

Let’s answer some of those questions you have about Job Club. A lot of your questions can be answered by reviewing information found in the Job Clubs Q & A handout. It looks like this

What is Job Club? Job Club is a group of job seekers that meet on a weekly basis. Job Club offers a team approach with local professionals and career experts for your support. Job Club offers job searching advice and techniques and job leads are shared.

What does Job Club cost? Job Clubs are a free community service brought to you by: Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Programs (EKCEP) Kentucky Career Center Office of Employment and Training (OET) your local Community Action Agency (CAA)

How can I find a Job Club near me? ekcep.us/jobclubsinfo www.facebook.com/jobclubseky You can find specific Job Club meeting dates, times, and locations on the web at:

What is my role with Job Club? Attend weekly Job Club Sessions Meet regularly with your career advisor Set weekly job searching goals Conduct active job searches Be interactive & positive Job Club members who join in weekly sessions are expected to:

Job Club is not: Job Club is NOT a class (you do not get a grade) but it could lead you to further your education. Job Club is NOT a training (you do not earn a certificate of completion) but we do have opportunities you may be interested in. Job Club is NOT a Job Fair but we will share these with you as they are scheduled.

Please open up your Welcome Packet. Let’s move on… Please open up your Welcome Packet. It looks like this

As a Job Club member there are expectations of you and of us. As a member and part of the team, YOU are in control. Your commitment will increase your success. We can’t do it without you!

What can Job Club do for you? You are making a good decision by allowing us to help you step-by-step. You can do it!

What information will be discussed each week? This is a list of the session topics that will be discussed during each session.

Let’s wrap this up! Find the Customer Information Sheet in your Welcome Packet and complete. It looks like this I will collect this form.

That completes our Job Club Orientation Let’s get started with the session material!
