Credit Counselling Summary vs. Transcript The Credit Counselling Summary lists the credits and marks you have earned. It also shows how many credits you still need to graduate, how many community service hours you have completed and submitted and if you have successfully completed the Ontario Literacy Test. The Ontario Student Transcript is an official document which shows all credits successfully earned in grades 9 and 10, plus all courses continued past the full-disclosure date (which is 5 days after the mid-term report card goes home), each semester in grades 11 and 12.

What is Full Disclosure? The Ministry of Education has a policy of full disclosure. This policy states that all grade 11 and 12 courses attempted by students must be recorded on their Ontario Student Transcript.  Full disclosure does not apply to grade 9 or 10 courses.  After the full disclosure deadline, any grade 11 or 12 course completed, withdrawn from or failed will appear on a student transcript along with the marks earned in the course.

2018/2019 Midterm Marks and Full Disclosure Dates (applies to senior level courses only) Semester 1: Midterm Reports go Home: Friday November 23, 2018 Full Disclosure Deadline: Friday November 30, 2018 Full Disclosure Begins: Monday December 3, 2018 Semester 2: Midterm Reports go Home: Friday May 3, 2019 Full Disclosure Deadline: Friday May 10, 2019 Full Disclosure Begins: Monday May 13, 2019 Note: to officially drop a senior level course before the Full disclosure deadline, the student MUST have completed the “Request for Timetable Change” form and have it signed by the classroom teacher and parent/guardian and returned to Student Services by 3pm on the deadline dates (see dates above)

Credit Counselling Summary The Credit Counselling Summary lists the credits and marks you have earned. It also shows how many credits you still need to graduate, how many community service hours you have completed and submitted and if you have successfully completed the Ontario Literacy Test. Credit Counselling Summaries are usually distributed to senior students in September/October to assist with graduation requirements. If you do not receive a copy of your Credit Counselling Summary please see your Guidance Counsellor and/or visit your Student Portal. Please note that Credit Counselling Summaries are NOT considered to be an official transcript, and will not be accepted at institutions requesting an official Ontario Student transcript.
