Wake-Up Robot: Kilala Intelligent Machine Design Laboratory Student: Jia Duan Instructors: Dr. A. Antonio Arroyo Dr. Eric M. Schwartz TAs: Ryan Chilton Josh Weaver

Basic Idea A robot to wake up my roommate by knocking her door instead of myself since I am lazy :)

Demo Day Achievement Obstacle avoidance with bump semsors Color tracking – pink Color avoidance – green Bluetooth communication Knocking the “door” with solenoid

Problem and Solution The robot needs to find the door by itself – randomly turning left or right before finding the door There is an angle between the robot and the door when it hits the door – moving toward the door until the other bumper is touched A board is not a real door – using a bigger board as a door http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eg8A74_3VSc&feature=youtu.be

Question?

Good Luck on Media Day!!!
