The Pomo By Owen

Location The Pomo lived in northern California. In winter they lived below the foothills. Near rivers there was plenty of grass so they could build their homes.

Shelter The Pomo lived in bowl shaped shelters. Their shelters were made out of grasses formed around bent poles. Three or four families lived in one shelter

Food The Pomo hunted deer, rabbits, squirrels, and bears. They gathered acorns, fruit, and vegetables that grew naturally in the area. They always had plenty of fish from the rivers.

Culture The Pomo made items to survive . The Pomo made acorns into flour. The Pomo made baskets to carry babies .
