Planning and Cost: Plan ahead of time. Where are we going? How much ? Cost of bus? Lunch? Bring it, eat on the way, or eat there. Dress? Be sure to check the weather.

Permission: Permission from the principal. Permission from parents.

Example of a Permission Slip:

Volunteers: Plan for one chaperone at least for every 4-5 students. Have information for students prior to the field trip. Ex: If exhibit is on the Civil War, present or provide lessons/information on the Civil War before going on the trip.
