Superintendents’ Plan Omaha districts and the Buffett Early Childhood Institute school as hub for early learning and family partnership systems, birth to third grade.

Learning Objectives/Outcomes: Participants will examine how early educators’ intentional and non-intentional language and actions matter when seeking to partner with young children’s families Participants will enhance their understanding of the value and importance of family partnerships

Creating Family Partnerships: Words Matter Words have value and power Value and power of words are influenced by our culture, beliefs, and experiences Choice of words creates intentional and/or unintentional rules Word Sort Handout with additional titles to think about in individual work places

From Family Engagement to Family Partnership Think for a minute about what comes to mind when you consider the term “Family Engagement.” Write down some words, phrases and thoughts.
