Warm Up 3/7/14 How does the information you saw in Food INC. challenge our Social Institutions? Remember our social institutions are: Family, Peers, Schools, Mass Media, and Government.

Answer Challenges schools idea of a healthy lunch. Challenges families ability to provide safe/healthy food. Challenges belief that the government is protecting you from health concerns and not protecting businesses who create health concerns. Etc.

Assignment Create a propaganda poster about a challenge to social institutions. This poster should be about fighting the issues/solving the problem. Poster MUST HAVE: Color Picture Title Your name What you are fighting/solving! The poster needs to be well thought out and neat. I do not require artistic talent however I do not want “stick figures” for this poster. Take you time!!! You have the rest of the period to complete this assignment!!!
