EARTH QACKE

Concern for the Environment By Mrs. Knipe's 5th grade class Concern for the Environment

What are the trees around your school or neighborhood? Some trees around Boulder include Blue Spruce, Aspens( as shown), Ponderosa Pine,Gambel Oak, and Douglas Fir.

How do trees help in reducing global warming? The trees take C02 out of the air that we breath. They take in C02 and breath out air.

What the students do to create awareness of global warming? We have some upper and middle school programs, such as Dawson Earth Workshop ( DEW) and Eno, which plants trees every year on our campus. And in science we learn about the atmosphere and global warming.

Hope that answered all of your questions!
